Tina Sedlmeyr (*1969)
Tina has been working in childcare for over fifteen years, including a year at a bilingual center in Japan. She is not only the Caterpillar team leader (the one to two-year olds), but is also the crèche and kindergarten team leader. Tina loves having fun with the children. A paint smock is necessary to have on hand when Tina gets it in her head to let the children experiment with shaving cream, or to experience all their senses by body painting. She wants the children to experience as many different things as possible, and to explore with all their senses. Because Tina is American, she speaks English with the children.

Tabea Leppertinger (*1987)
Tabea has been working as a teacher at Little Daisies since 2008. She is Tina’s teaching partner in the Caterpillar group. One of her passions is using music as an educational medium with the children. When it comes to doing activities with the children, it is important for Tabea that the children learn through play and through visuals, with fun being the primary goal. Because Tabea grew up in Oberbayern, she brings a lot of her Bavarian culture into the center.

Theresa Matschinsky (*1986)
Theresa is in the final year of her studies to become recognized as a qualified teacher and is spending her student teaching year in the Caterpillar classroom. Before she came to Little Daisies, Theresa lived in London for a year and a half where she worked as an aupair. Theresa especially likes being with children out in nature, as well as doing arts and crafts with them.

Yoko Miura (*1985)
Yoko comes from Japan. She spent a year as an exchange student in the U.S. during high school, and finished her studies in Japan. Yoko spent a year as an aupair in Germany, and has been with us at Little Daisies ever since. She speaks English with the children and especially likes being creative with them. Yoko works mornings in the caterpillar group.

Monika Hartmann (*1959)
Moni leads the Butterfly team together with Anne. Moni is very interested in the development of children and the use of movement and action to support this development. She creates the most wonderful environments in the gross motor room for the children to explore. Moni radiates a sense of security and peacefulness which benefits not only the children, but also the rest of the team.

Anne Jammers (*1984)
After completing her teacher training, Anne spent a year working as an aupair in London. After that, she took over the classroom leadership of an integration child care center (where children with special needs are mixed in with the general population). After studying speech therapy for a number of years, she joined us at Little Daisies as co-leader of the Butterfly team. It gives Anne a lot of joy to help the children discover their environment.

Martina Proudfoot (*1974)
Martina has a nursery nurse qualification from Ireland, and has been working with children of all ages for over 18 years. Before she became a mother herself, she worked at a parent/child initiative in Munich. Martina enjoys offering new experiences to children on a daily basis and watching them become more and more independent and self confidant.

Rafiou Bayor (*1994)
Rafiou is in his first year of the teacher qualification program. Before he joined us, he spent a year working in a Hort (after school program for school age children). It is important to Rafiou that the children have the chance to develop with as few restrictions placed on them as possible, and that they are able to use a lot of what they learn at Little Daisies on their own.

Svenja Westermann (*1982)
Svenja is a qualified elementary school teacher as well as a qualified child care teacher. She leads the Kindergarten team, and does the German portion of the preschool program. Svenja’s favorite part of working with children is to be outside in nature with them and uses what they have seen in nature to do creative activities in the Kindergarten as well. It is important for her that the children have fun in everything they do, because that is how they will remember their experiences.

Iain Scarborough (*1963)
Iain was born in England originally taking a degree in Fine Art & Photography. He trained and worked as a Qualified Classroom Teacher in an English State School up until his move to Munich in 2001, where he taught English to both Children and adults as well as working for two years in a bilingual kindergarten. Iain enjoys working with children on art and music projects and enjoys letting children realize there potential through the enjoyment they get from the activities they do.

Mamie Rijks (*1980)
Mamie was actually born and raised in Germany until the age of 13, when her family moved back to the US. After her studies, she worked in Japan and Korea in international schools and kindergartens. Mamie especially likes having fun doing silly experiments during the English preschool program, or baking together with all of the children.

Brianne
Brianne is doing her student teaching year at Little Daisies this year. Brianne is American, but has been living in Germany for 10 years now. She is happy to be working in her mother-tongue again, and enjoys introducing English to the children.

Sonia Al-Ugaily (*1979)
Sonia is the mother of two children and is doing a one year internship with us at Little Daisies. At the end of the year she plans to begin her training to become teacher qualified. It is important to Sonia that the children learn to trust in their abilities and to become more ready to take on responsibility.
